​​AFTER THE PROCEDURE
It’s normal to experience burning or cramping pain immediately after treatment, which typically subsides within 10 minutes. Tenderness at the injection sites can last for several days, while swelling in the treated area is expected and may persist for up to a week. You may also notice numbness to the touch, which is common and can last up to 3 weeks.
Induration (a firm or hardened area) may develop and can remain for up to a month. To help manage post-treatment effects, we recommend icing the area, sleeping with your head elevated, and taking 400mg of ibuprofen for discomfort.
Alastin Post-Injection Serum, Arnica tablets, or Arnica gel (available in our office) may help reduce bruising. Gradual improvement will occur over time, with visible results typically appearing 4 to 8 weeks after your session.
